Hi, I want to start using the rising 4ply conservation mat board and I was curious If there was anything I needed to know regarding how it fairs in a very humid climate.
Rising Conservation is a premium conservation grade board; however, like any paper board, humidity generally increases the chances of a paper not laying flat or a potential for curling.
Due to its thickness, you should not experience curling like a traditional 1ply paper and the board should lie flat. We highly recommend letting the board acclimate to its new climate before framing or producing artwork.
In the event that you do experience slight bowing/curling, use a rigid substrate and place heavy objects consistently across the board.
thanks
