I am working with a committee designing a mobile for a church to honor those who have passed away. We want to calligraphy the names on the pergamenata, and suspend them. The mobile will be hung from the ceiling where it can get hot. Will it withstand the heat without curling? How about yellowing? We want to use white.
There are too many variables that can affect the final piece, which makes it difficult to provide firm answers to your questions. In addition to the excessive heat, other factors such as humidity, UV and environmental contamination can all negatively affect the paper. If possible it's best to test.
Thank you.
