Ask an Expert - Forum > detaching stonehenge white (not watercolor!) paper

I use only Stonehenge White for my finished drawings (the green pads, 15 sheets, 250 gsm). I am NOT referring to water color paper.
I love this paper. However, I find that the paper is difficult to remove from the pad without glue residue remaining on the edge of the paper. I've tried many ways of detaching the paper, but none has worked consistently. When a paper detaches free of glue residue, I feel lucky (rather than skilled).

Please help me. This problem is really getting in the way of my love for Stonehenge.

Thank you!

Thank you for notifying us of the glue issues you have encountered with our Stonehenge pads. The pads are supposed to release the paper easily. However, the paper can hold onto some of the adhesive along the top edge and can be removed using any hard object. It sounds like the pad you received may have received some additional glue, making it harder to remove.
