Hi, I'm wondering about the use of acrylics on Stonehenge Oil. I typically use acrylics for underpainting, so I'm wondering if they will adhere to this oil based paper. Thanks!
Stonehenge Oil is a 100% cotton rag paper which allows for acrylic painting. The cotton fibers will absorb the acrylic paint similar to a watercolor paper or traditional printmaking paper. The internal chemical barrier used to prevent oil paint from bleeding through will not affect your acrylic underpainting in any way. Stonehenge Oil is an extremely versatile paper. You can work with oils, acrylic, watercolor, graphite, charcoal, colored pencil and printing.
