Ask an Expert - Forum > painting with Lithography inks and Gamsol on Yupo Translucent
I am painting with lithography Inks diluted with Gamsol on the Translucent Yupo Paper. The materials work beautifully together, but I am reading that really only water colors and acrylics are recommended on this Paper. The pieces would have to be floated or or mounted, depending on the size of the paper. Thanks in advance for your guidance,
YUPO, like all paper surfaces, can be used for many applications and not limited to just a few mediums. For example, YUPO is an excellent paper for alcohol inks. The synthetic nature of YUPO allows the inks to be manipulated and reworked. The same is true of watercolor and acrylics. The smooth and even surface is also ideal for pen, ink and markers. Many artists have used YUPO for Silkscreen and even image transfers. The applications are truly endless.
