Hi Legion Paper Forum.
I'm really enjoying using Aquarelle HP but would ask your advice as follows.
I have seen some posts relating to masking fluid lifting the surface of Aquarelle paper, but can see no specific recommendations on how to avoid. I use Aquarelle 300 HP and have had issues with the surface lifting using masking fluid. I'm about to do a portfolio piece for a diploma and would hate to have damage result from masking fluid removal. Can you provide some recommendations on process and also on masking fluid manufacturers/ products that you would recommend to use with Aquarelle?
All the best, mike

Hi Mike,

Masking fluid can be tricky to use, and it oftentimes pulls the fibers off the surface of the paper. We would suggest using an alternative product from Holbein called Soft Tape.

Here's a video that David R. Becker put together demonstrating how he uses the tape with absolutely no damage to the paper's surface.
