Ask an Expert - Forum > Stonehenge Gummed Pads - Smooth Side?
Both sides of the Stonehenge sheet are almost the same. However, one side (the top) will be slightly smoother than the back, but either side can be used. The top of the surface will be the smoother side.

Thank you. I wonder if there is some variation between pads as a friend of mine thought that the reverse seemed a bit smoother. That’s what prompted my question as I would naturally use the top side.

Hi Miles - The pads are converted all the same with the top side of the paper facing up.

Hello,
My pads of Stonehenge have arrived and I’ve compared the two sides. I have to say that the reverse side does appear smoother to me (there are fewer and smaller crevices in the surface of the paper). Would you mind having a look for me to make sure I am not going mad!
Thanks!

Hi Miles,
In some very rare cases the sheets could have been converted with the wire side facing up, but this is pretty rare. Please send us an email to info [at] legionpaper.com so we can exchange info and images.

I’m interested in the Stonehenge White gummed pads (the green pads) and wondered if one side of the paper is smoother than the other? If so, which side would that be (the top side, or reverse side, when opening the pad)?
Thank you!
