Do you happen to know what types of photography or other media this is designed for? Is it about the paper a photo is printed on, the printing process or what else?
Rising Photomount is a non buffered cotton board compared to the Rising Museum Board which is buffered with Calcium Carbonate. About 35 years ago there were two print processes that were introduced to the market; Cibachrome Color, an Ilford product and Dye TransferX by Kodak. In some instances, the images of these type of prints were effected when mounted to buffered board. Although there was no consensus that the Calcium Carbonate reacted negatively with these C Prints, Rising Photomount was created as a solution.
