i want to make collages & layer pieces of translucent yupo paper onto each other, and compose in that way for instance a bird you here me coming :-) how do i glue the pieces one or another, so that they keep well together in the long term and does anyone have ideas what would be a good idea to mount the in that way composed bird on a substrate? Thanks everyone in advance for any help, Phil
When it comes to adhering Yupo to itself or other substrates we recommend using either YES paste, Tacky Glue or Golden Gel Medium.
If you are mounting your Yupo piece to a flat substrate, we recommend using an archival substrate like Rising Museum Board or Somerset. Using an archival substrate will conserve your finished artwork for years to come and will increase its value overall.
Thanks a lot for your reply. So do these guidelines also apply on the TRANSLUCENT yupo paper? + does the mounting board have to be gessoed & must the painted backside (to be glued on the board) be sealed before gluing? Thanks a lot in advance Phil
