For this type of project,we are looking for a paper that is both tactile and durable. Two papers that immediately stand out are Somerset and Stonehenge Printmaking. Both of these papers are offered in text weights making them ideal for the book binding process. It just so happens that both of these papers are offered in a weight of 250gsm which is more than heavy enough for a clean, deep impression.
Mouldmade cotton papers are stronger than their machinemade counterparts, making Somerset an ideal fit for the bookmaking process. Available in three different textures (Satin, Textured, Velvet), Somerset checks off both the tactile and durability boxes necessary for a book paper.
Although it is machine-made, Stonehenge Printmaking is one of the most versatile and durable papers on the market. Stonehenge printmaking creates a fabulous impression and can take a beating making it ideal for applications such as Hand Litho, Intaglio, Letterpress and Relief printing. Stonehenge printmaking is the workhorse paper of the print community.

I am contemplating a project where I use letterpress in a photo album. The pages (hopefully!) will be turned and handled a great deal, and I want a really deep letterpress imprint, so I'm looking for a paper that will give me that imprint depth but not look dog-eared and worn after a short time.
