Legion has Hahnemuhle German Etching paper content as 50% cotton / 50% alpha cellulose. However, some retail sites list this paper as 75/25.
Has there been a change? If so, from what to what? I haven't been able to find any details on the Hahnemuhle site.
Copperplate is listed at 100% alpha cellulose. Durer Etching as 100% cotton. The content for these papers seem to be consistent from one source to another.

i have the same question. I am looking for Hahnemuhle #1584 which according to their site is listed as 100% cotton or something else that is 100% cotton, 300 gsm.

Victoria,
You don't say what you want the paper for. I'm sure the staff here at Legion will have a lot of suggestions. That said, I'm a printmaker (who has been accused of being a paper geek). I use Somerset Satin which comes in a 300 gsm weight and is 100% cotton. There are others. Magnani Pescia is a pretty nice paper. Arches Cover comes in a 300 gsm weight in some sheet sizes and rolls. BFK comes in a 300 weight but it seems harder to find. I've used the BFK 280 or even the 250 which seems to be a "go-to" paper for a lot of printmakers. I've just started trying Rosaspina which is not 100% cotton but a 60/40 blend in a 285 gsm weight and from the early results, I think it's going to be a lovely paper. Good luck.
