Hi Susan, The paper we use in the Stonehenge Pads (with the green covers) is the exact same paper as the 22x30 sheets. The paper is manufactured at the same time on the same machine. We just convert some of the paper into pads.
I did not use 22x30 sheets. What I used were the 9x12 pads which showed color pencils on the cover. It had a vellum side and a smooth slide. I cannot seem to find it. Did you changed covers -- although the paper in the green cover seemed lighter than the ones I'm used to. Maybe you can recommend another type of pad for my use -- multi-purposes.
The paper is the same, just the pad covers changed design. The Older covers (with the pencils) was replaced by the green cover. But the paper is exactly the same - same weight (250gsm) and surfaces.
I'm having the same issue I have a pad with the colored pencils on the front and a pad with the green cover and 2 sheets of the 23x30" paper. The pad with colored pencils on the front DEFINITELY has a different surface which I much prefer. It is a very very fine grainy texture. The other two seem to be the same and are very smooth and don't take graphite nearly as well.
