Ask an Expert - Forum > Foiling on wild cordenon

Hi friends, I have tried foil stamping on wild cordenon 450 gsm with different brands of foil as well as with two different foiling machines. The results are always not satisfactory as there will be areas with no foil. Would appreciate if anyone can enlighten me on this issue. thanks.

hi
you have probably already figured it out by now, but i just read this and wanted to ask which foil mfgrs you have tried and which releases from those mfgrs?
also, fine lines or broad coverage, which foil press are you running, and have you tried running the foils backwards?

The foil we have used and been successful with is Great Western and API. Another trick when foil stamping a sheet like Wild we have also learned is to make sure the board behind the paper is soft. This helps with the release of the foil on a heavy textured sheet like this.
