So here is my suggestion to all that would want to use any oil based medium on a paper. Most papers unlike gessoed canvas are not internally or externally sized enough to take oil without creating seepage. That said all papers will behave differently, so the best way to find out suitability is to try it out. Get a sheet of Stonehenge and put it to the test with oil sticks. Also you might want to try a sheet of Yupo Cover (polypropylene) in 74 lb or 144 lb; it is a totally non-porous surface, so anything you lay down on it has to dry by natural oxidation. MSG
