Ask an Expert - Forum > Duplex Plike?

I’ve been considering paper for some letterpress business cards that I'll be printing at home and decided that I’d ideally want to duplex some plike card stock to get the sexy rubbery feel, but get that extra thickness. Does anyone know someone who offers duplexing services? (I lack the equipment). If so, how much would they charge for just the paper?

Thanks,

Shawn

Hi Shawn,

We've used LV Adhesive in the past. Always happy with the result. Also, duplexing plike with a textured cotton paper provides a great visual and tactile contrast between the two sides.

hi shawn
we duplex specialty sheets in house, up to 32"x40", with a protein based adhesive which works on the plike an other special sheets like the stardream, curious metallics, etc. so i just wanted to warn you; we have learned the hard way that not all adhesives work well on the plike and those other specialty paper because of the coating on top.

let us know if we can help.
