Hi - I went to a paper supplier in NYC today to pickup Crane Lettra 110 Ecru 8.5x11 sheets that I ordered from them (they had to cut them from larger sheets for my wedding invitations, which we will be hand letterpressing.) I'm new to the paper and letterpress world, but when I got home and took the paper out of its wrapping, I was surprised by the flimsiness and hard/flatness of the product - it just completely lacks that softness and texture that would make a nice letterpressed invitation- it feels more like cheap thin cardstock. Is it possible they gave me the wrong paper? Or is Crane Lettra just this flimsy? The Ecru is also much yellower than expected. I have looked at photos online and they look very different from what I received.
Here's a photo (if this can help at all, i know lighting probably isn't the best): https://www.dropbox.com/s/i3tn40y7eitkzwl/IMG_8536.JPG?dl=0
From reading all the recommendations online for Crane Lettra for letterpressing I assumed it was an easy choice to go with it. I'm fine to buy new paper if it really is that flimsy and I just didn't do enough research, but I also want to make sure I didn't get scammed in any way. The place was kindof shady - they wouldn't really field my questions and rushed me out the door so I don't necessarily trust the product I got.
Sorry to hear about your experience. It's too hard to tell from the photo if it is indeed Lettra. You're welcome to stop by our NY office any time to have a look at "real" Lettra whenever you like. Please contact info@legionpaper.com to confirm a day/time.
If you don't mind, we'd like to know the store at which you bought the paper. You can contact us via email about this if you like (rather than "out" them here.)

Any help/thoughts appreciated. Thanks!
