I am using letterpress for my wedding invitations. Our letterpress company uses lettra envelopes for the invitations, but I am concerned about the flimsiness in the mail (I got one in the mail and it was ripped up when I received it). Is there an alternative paper that is sturdier but would still have a similar look/feel to the lettra or any other suggestions?
The Lettra envelopes are a pretty standard weight at 120gsm. We have other similar envelopes you can try (Savoy, Strathmore Pure Cotton Letterpress, Legion Textured Envelopes, Arturo and Legion Bamboo.) All are similar in weight and strength to the Lettra.
We've made heavier envelopes for clients in the past that are much more substantial. Depending on how many envelopes you need, this might be an option.
