I am making a set of shape miniature books using coptic binding, and would like to use a heavy paper for the covers that will stand up to the stitching along the bound edge. Any recommendations on acceptable weights for this project? Or particular papers?
Depending on the thickness you're looking for, I'd look at Rising Museum Board in a 4ply or heavier. The paper is 100% cotton and certainly strong enough to stand up to the stitching.
