I was commissioned to do a large scale graphite drawing. I usually work 9x12 or smaller for portraits, but this client wants a multi-family portrait that is at least 24x36. Any recommendations on the paper to purchase and how to mount it? Thanks!
There are many papers in our portfolio that are both excellent for graphite and are large format.
We've curated many of those papers here: https://legionpaper.com/applications/graphite-pastel-charcoal.html
We've also put together a collection of drawing papers that might interest you. This will allow you to test a variety of papers to see which one performs best for your application. You can find that sample collection here (scroll down to Drawing Papers): https://legionpaper.com/samples#legion-collections
As for mounting, it depends what you will be mounting to. However, this forum is a great resource as other artists have asked the same question! Plug in "Stonehenge Mounting" into the above search bar and you'll see a bunch of results.
